Kamagra

Kamagra is a cheap erectile dysfunction (ED) medication. It’s popular as a cheap alternative to Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. A single tablet of Kamagra costs just a few cents.

This is extremely cheap for an ED mediation. Viagra, for example, costs roughly $70 per pill. Other ED medications, such as Levitra, can run customers over $100 per tablet.

Kamagra comes in three forms — a tablet similar to Viagra, an oral jelly, and a chewable tablet.

So what’s the catch? Why is Kamagra so cheap?

We’ll discuss the risks of ordering Kamagra to the US, along with the dose, cost, safety concerns, and legality of this budget pharmaceutical.

What is Kamagra?

Kamagra is made by the generic drug manufacturer — Ajanta.

The active ingredient in Kamagra products is the same as Viagra — a compound called sildenafil.

Sildenafil is used to treat erectile dysfunction. Off-label, it’s used to treat premature ejaculation as well.

There are three main types of Kamagra available:

  • Kamagra Chewable Tablets (100 mg)
  • Kamagra Oral Jelly (100 mg)
  • Kamagra Tablets (50 and 100 mg)

A) Kamagra Tablets

The Kamagra tablets are virtually identical to Viagra. They come in the 50 and 100 mg versions, but skip the smaller 25 mg option Viagra offers.

B) Kamagra Oral Jelly

The Kamagra Oral Jelly is a liquid version of the popular sildenafil medication. This is a unique offering from Kamagra you won’t find from any of the major companies in the erectile dysfunction space — Pfizer, Bayer, GlaxoKlineSmith, or Eli Lilly.

The jelly comes in a pack of 7 individual packets. Each packet contains exactly 100 mg of active sildenafil, along with a jelly base and added flavor.

Kamagra jelly comes in the following flavors:

  • Anjeer
  • Banana
  • Black Currant
  • Butterscotch
  • Caramel
  • Cherry
  • Chocolate
  • Green Apple
  • Guava
  • Kiwi
  • Lemon
  • Litchi
  • Mango
  • Mint
  • Orange
  • Pineapple
  • Raspberry
  • Rose
  • Strawberry
  • Vanilla
  • Watermelon

Just squeeze the contents of the package into a spoon and swallow.

The company claims the onset time for using the jelly is faster than the tablet version — but the difference is only minor. You might see benefits up to 15 minutes sooner when using the jelly.

The company that makes Kamagra doesn’t make a smaller 50 mg version of this jelly — but the simple workaround is to just use half the package.

Never store Kamagra jelly — if you don’t use the whole package, just throw the rest out and use a new package next time.

C) Kamagra Polo (Chewable Tablets)

Kamagra Chewable Tablets come in packs of four — each with 100 mg of active sildenafil.

The company claims these polos-shaped tablets have the fastest onset time, but again, the difference is only marginal compared to the conventional tablet form.

You can order Kamagra Polo tablets in four different flavors:

  • Lemon
  • Mint
  • Pineapple
  • Strawberry

Who Makes Kamagra?

Kamagra tablets and Kamagra Oral Jelly is made by Ajanta Pharma — a large Indian pharmaceutical company. Ajanta operates seven manufacturing facilities and over 1400 individual products.

Kamagra is made in the company’s facility at Paithan in Maharashtra.

Kamagra is Banned in the US & EU

The FDA issued an import ban on Kamagra in 2017 after the company was selling the drug without official approval.

You can no longer legally order Kamagra if you live in the United States.

In order to sell prescription drugs in most countries, a company needs to first obtain approval. Once approved, there are a strict set of regulations that must be followed in order for the drug to remain available.

Unofficial online pharmacies continue to sell Kamagra under the table and ship to the US and EU. If packages are discovered to contain the drug, it’s confiscated.

Is Kamagra Safe?

The active ingredient in Kamagra (sildenafil) has been shown to have a high level of safety overall — but it doesn’t come without its risks.

Sildenafil is a vasodilator — which means it works by dilating blood vessels. When this happens in the penis, it results in an erection. But when this dilation happens elsewhere in the body, such as the ears, eyes, heart, or kidneys — it can lead to serious side effects.

Most people who take sildenafil don’t have any side effects, and those that do usually experience only minor issues. However, in some people, such as those using other medications or with underlying health conditions, the side effects can be severe.

Sildenafil has been known to cause hearing loss, vision loss, kidney disease, and heart failure.

The reason why sildenafil (and Kamagra) are prescription-only medications is because of how important it is for a medical professional to assess the risk of taking the medication on an individual basis. This is why you should never order prescription medications without an actual prescription.

Kamagra Side Effects

The side effects of Kamagra are mainly the result of sildenafil. While the drug was still in development, the manufacturer — Pfizer — put the drug through extensive clinical testing to understand the side effects.

As a result, we have a very detailed dataset to understand what side effects we can expect from the medication.

The side effects of sildenafil include:

  • Headaches (21% of users)
  • Flushing (19% of users)
  • Indigestion (9% of users)
  • Vision Loss (2% of users)
  • Nasal Congestion (4% of users)
  • Back Pain (4% of users)
  • Dizziness (4% of users)
  • Nausea (3% of users)
  • Rash (2% of users)
  • Muscle Pain (2% of users)

There are also more severe side effects possible, such as blindness, impotence, hearing loss, heart failure, liver disease, or kidney disease — however, these side effects are much rarer.

By far, the most common side effect is a headache, which can usually be avoided by drinking plenty of water while taking Kamagra.

Other Dangers of Kamagra

The other dangerous side of Kamagra stems from how Kamagra is sold.

Anybody selling Kamagra in the US or EU is doing so in a legal grey area — if not completely illegal. Many of these companies are doing other unethical practices — like selling counterfeit Kamagra tablets instead of the real thing.

In most cases, counterfeit medications simply won’t work — they’re sugar pills colored and formed in a way that looks like the original medication. They just don’t contain any active ingredients.

But in some cases, other medications are used instead. You may get other, cheaper, potentially dangerous ED medications, stimulants, or painkillers.

There’s always a risk when ordering pharmaceuticals from pharmacies operating on the fringes of the legal system. You never know what you’re going to get.

How Does Kamagra Work?

Kamagra works exactly the same way as Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis

The active ingredient in Kamagra is classified as a PDE5 inhibitor. PDE5 stands for phosphodiesterase type 5, which is an enzyme that breaks down a chemical messenger called cGMP.

The role of cGMP is to tell the arteries to expand and increase the flow of blood.

By blocking the enzymes that break down PDE5, it allows more of these messengers to activate the arterial tissue and causes blood flow to increase.

When blood flow is increased, the erectile tissue fills with blood — resulting in an erection.

PDE5 is just one of 11 known PDEs (PDE1 – PDE11). Each of these enzymes are distributed differently in the organs. PDE5 just so happens to be the most abundant form present in the penis. This is why blocking this enzyme has such a specific and pronounced impact on the function of the penis.

What’s the Dose of Kamagra?

Kamagra tablets come in either a 50 mg version or a 100 mg version. The dose refers specifically to the active ingredient in the tablet, sildenafil citrate.

This follows the same dosage as Viagra, which comes in 25, 50, and 100 mg tablets.

Most doctors who prescribe sildenafil will start with 50 mg and adjust to a higher dose only if needed. The higher doses are more likely to result in side effects, so if you only need 50 mg to get the desired effects, it’s better to use this smaller dose instead.

The Kamagra oral jelly and Kamagra Polo (chewable tablets) both come in 100 mg versions. If you need a smaller dose, you’ll need to skip half the jelly or break the chewable tablets in half first.

How Long Does Kamagra Last?

Kamagra takes about 30 to 60 minutes to start taking effect and lasts between 3 and 5 hours. This is exactly the same amount of time as Viagra and Levitra but much shorter than Cialis (up to 36 hours).

In very rare cases, Kamagra can last up to 24 hours.

If you experience an erection for more than 4 hours at a time or experience pain with your erection, you should seek medical attention immediately.

How Much Does Kamagra Cost?

The main reason people turn to Kamagra over other ED medications is the cost — this medication is dirt cheap.

You can get a pack of four capsules of Kamagra for as little as $1.50 — which is roughly 2% of the cost of Viagra at retail price.

Kamagra oral jelly is only slightly more expensive — running you about $3.00 for each package.

You can also get Kamagra Polo — which are chewable tablets containing 100 mg of sildenafil. This product only costs $4.00 per tablet.

The more Kamagra you buy at a time, the cheaper it gets. The lowest cost you’re likely to find before additional savings is $1.50 per tablet, $3.33 per jelly pack, or $2.50 per chewable tablet.

Cost Breakdown for Kamagra

Kamagra ProductPrice RangeCost per Dose
Kamagra Tablets (50 mg)$29.95 – $179.95$1.50 – $2.50
Kamagra Tablets (100 mg) $35.95 – $539.95$1.50 – $3.00
Kamagra Oral Jelly$59.95 – $399.95$3.33 – $6.00
Kamagra Polo Chewable Tablets$47.95 – $149.95$2.50 – $4.00

Are There Any Kamagra Alternatives?

The main alternative to Kamagra is Pfizer’s Viagra, but there are many other generic brands of sildenafil as well sold by the following companies:

  • Accord
  • Actavis
  • Aurobindo
  • Bristol Labs
  • Consilient
  • Dr. Reddy’s
  • Mylan
  • Sandoz
  • Teva
  • Torrent
  • Zentiva

All of these generics use the same active ingredient and, therefore, should have the same effects as Kamagra. The only difference is in the appearance, format, and fillers used in the tablet formula. The active ingredients and doses are identical.

There are other PDE5 inhibitor medications to choose from as well — most of which are sold as generic and brand name medications, just like Viagra and Kamagra.

Other PDE5 Erectile Dysfunction Medication Options:

  • Mirodenafil (Mvix)
  • Udenafil (Zydena)
  • Tadalafil (Cialis)
  • Vardenafil (Levitra, Staxyn, and Vivanza)

Where to Buy Kamagra

There are no registered resellers of Kamagra in the US or EU — however, elsewhere in the world, Kamagra is sold at both local and online pharmacies.

If you live in the United States, the only place to get Kamagra is from third-party resellers selling the drug under the table. We don’t recommend ordering from these companies despite the enticingly low price point for these medications.

There’s always a risk your medication will be confiscated at the border, or worse — you may receive counterfeit medications that either don’t work or contain even more dangerous ingredients instead of the Kamagra.

The better option if you’re on a budget is to look for other generic sildenafil medications sold by registered pharmacies. The cost will be competitive, but worth the security of knowing the products you’re ordering are going to be both safe and effective.
